Beauty, joy, the nature of reality, and the pursuit of understanding
the essence of everything are my work's core ideas, concepts, and
inspirations. Natural science and Atomic Physics are my guiding
principles, composition is my altar, and color is the sacred
sacrament.

I began the Freehand series during the 2020 pandemic. This series
melds automatism, intuitive color choices, and deliberate line work
that rises to the surface. It began as an exercise to liberate my hand
movements. Still, it evolved into a practice of intuitively filling
spaces with color, consciously selecting 7-9 hues. I sought to
emphasize the drawing by darkening the lines, something I stopped
doing last year, letting the lines define the shapes. The synthesis of
subconscious, intuitive, and precise conscious efforts has produced an
effect that intrigues me.
